Do you take insurance? Or prescribe medication?
I do not take insurance, though I can provide information for you to request a refund from your insurance. Payment is still expected upfront.
No, I cannot prescribe pharmaceuticals.
Can you order blood tests?
In New York State (and other unlicensed states), we are not recognized as physicians so we cannot order lab tests, imaging, or any other medical procedures.
Can you be my primary care doctor? You're a doctor, right?
I'd love to if I was practicing in a licensed state. We are currently licensed in 18 states, and very close to getting licensed in NY. Becoming licensed means I would have the some of the same privileges of your licensed health professional (e.g. writing prescriptions, diagnose, physical exams), plus the ability to practice full scope of our education which includes physical medicine, minor surgery, and IV therapy.
Yes, my title includes 'Doctor'- I get a 'ND' instead of a 'MD'.
What do you mean, 'in a licensed state'?
In an unlicensed state, I cannot practice medicine, which implies being able to diagnose, treat, or prescribe for any type of condition. Instead, I work as a health consultant where I discuss homeopathy, nutrition, botanical medicine, and lifestyle recommendations from my education to make suggestions on what may help. You are responsible for the decision to take any natural remedy.
My services are not meant to replace, or substitute that of a licensed medical professional. I am an advocate of integrative care, and believe that each therapy and professional has their role. That said, I strongly suggest that you also seek care from a licensed health care provider in New York State, and I am here complement and support the care provided to you by your licensed provider.
Where are you licensed?
We are currently licensed in 18 states, plus the U.S. Virgin Islands, and 4 Canadian Provinces. We have 6 Naturopathic schools in the U.S., and two in Canada, and the number of graduates are constantly growing. Licensure affords us the ability to practice to our full scope, and have access to more services (e.g. physical exams, lab tests, imaging) and therapies that act as both treatment and preventative care. We are also experts in herb/drug/nutrient interaction, and understand when to refer for further care. In addition, licensure helps ensure public safety as there are other programs that may claim the title of 'Naturopathic', but are not one of our accredited schools. Can I work with you?
Of course! A million times over yes! I'd love to work with you too! These are questions I typically get asked, and would like to make clear my role in your health. I work with you closely here, such as providing occasional email support, and regular monthly visits to help you get to the underlying cause of disease.
I am available by office visit, Skype, and phone call.
I offer package deals because healing and preventative care takes place over time, and each visit will most likely offer different health and supplement related advice. Supplements are sold separately to accommodate needs of each of your visits, as well as honoring how we are all unique. I look forward to our visit
How do I make an appointment?
Please click here, and then follow the instructions at the bottom of the page. I prefer the first visit and homeopathic intake to be in person, and then follow-up visits with the option of Skype or phone calls.
How can I learn more?
Contact me here, as I'm glad to answer any further questions and respond within 1-2 business days.
